GC “Petros” technologies will be used in Sumatra.

The preliminary program of oil production operation in one of the oil brownfields at Sumatra Island was presented in accordance with the cooperation agreement made by GK “Petros” and Indonesian National Oil Company “Pertamina”.  At the initial stage the activities are aimed to the brownfields operation optimization that provides the usage of Russian oil recovery enhancement technologies.

The water flooding and thermo-gas method (air injection into the formation) extensively used in Russia as well as abroad (in the USA, Ukraine, Uzbekistan) are the most effective nowadays technologies. Today the two biggest Russian oil-and-gas companies, i.e. “Lukoil” and “Gaspromneft” are using these methods when making fields development in Western Siberia.
