Prospects for GC “Petros” and Bakri Group cooperation

This news was reported after the meeting of the companies leaders held on October 26, 2009 in Jakarta. Established in the year 1942 the Indonesian Industrial Conglomerate now takes a dominant position in many fields: metallurgy, telecommunications, oil and gas sector, coal production, construction. It should be reminded that in the course of the previously held negotiations GC “Petros” and Bakri Group the representatives discussed the possibility of a joint venture foundation for the production of transportable small-bore pipelines that could be used in case of emergency: earthquakes, forest fires and tsunami.

During the talks in the Indonesian capital the participants discussed the prospects of GC “Petros” and other Russian companies involvement into the project of 1200 km pipeline construction, a half of this pipeline runs along the sea bottom. After the negotiations Bakri Group representatives arrived at a decision to provide their Russian partners with the main technical parameters of the project for them to prepare a quotation.
