Academician A. Bokserman gave a speech on NG Oil & Gas Summit Russia & CIS.

July 5-7, 2011 NG Oil & Gas Summit Russia & CIS was held in Radisson Royal Hotel, Moscow. Discussed were the problems of innovative development of oil production in Russia, including its prior stream which is creation, development and implementation of modern methods of enhanced oil recovery (EOR).

Current and comprehensive report on Innovative Development of Oil Production Based on the Integration of Modern Methods of Enhanced Oil Recovery was presented at the summit by the Adviser to the Director of Zarubezhneft, professor, academician of the Academy of Natural Sciences, A. Bokserman.

The report included the following key provisions:

1. In order to enhance oil recovery in Russia it is necessary to integrate advanced EOR.
2. Priority direction for oil companies should be testing grounds for modern EOR in the fields with hard-and non-conventional oil reserves.
3. Cardinal increase in recoverable oil reserves in the fields of the Bazhenov Formation and in the fields of light crude oil with low-permeability reservoirs can be achieved by widespread use of integrated technology thermo-gas pressure based on the injection of oxygen-containing mixture.

Following the results of the summit A. Bokserman`s report was voted to be the best one and awarded the Badge of Honor, GDS INTERNATINAL  LEADER OF THE YEAR.
