Meeting with Coordinating Minister of the Economy of the Republic of Indonesia

10 August 2011 Coordinating Minister of the Economy of the Republic of Indonesia Mr. Hatta Rajasa held meeting with PT Petros Technologies Indonesia Commissioner Mr. Victor Tarusin. In the meeting also took part Ambassador of Indonesia to the Russian Federation Mr. Hamid Awaludin, and PT Pertamina Upstream Director Mr.Muhamad Husen.

That was a follow up to the first working meeting held by the Parties in June during Minister Hatta Rajasa visit to Moscow.

Mr. V. Tarusin provided general information on PT Petros Technologies Indonesia activities in the country concentrating on the Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) technologies for brown and abandoned oil fields.

The Minister gave high appreciation to the efforts of Russian experts in the field of EOR, he expressed special interest towards original state-of-the-art software "Petra" that allows in limited time and cost effectively to estimate residual oil reserves allocation within the boundaries of matured/brown oil fields. Russian EOR technologies are supposed to be tested shortly within the frames of one prospective KSO being in bidding process now.
 
In conclusion the Minister expressed hope that cooperation between PT Pertamina and PT Petros Technologies Indonesia in the field of EOR for national brown oil field would develop faster for the benefit of the national oil production.
